one starts out as an associate broker. They have gotten away from

in the other 48-49 states, one
goes to a RE school, [never ever attend an on line course for
prep for the state test........on line stuff is fine for renewal
course requirements], take their classes for sales person/agent
pass their test,
take the state test,
practice under a broker for 3 yrs in most states
then attend RE broker school, take their test
when passed, schedule to take the state test for brokers
and pass it.

during all this, you need to decide what type of RE you want to 
practice;

listing of houses
land

help buyers buy [never be a dual agent--rep&#039;ing both sellers
and buyers in the same transaction.]

and you can deal with commercial prop
ag prop
cemetery plots
camp grounds 

etc.

if you seek to list props, you will need to join AFTER you are

After that you take a test to get your salesperson license, and then you must be an agent or a certain amount of time. After you have been an agent for whatever amount of time your state requires you can then take more classes and apply for the broker license.

In California you can bypass all of the courses and time needed to be spent as a salesperson if you have a certain level of college completed. I don&#039;t know of any other states like that though.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
